A Tiny Confession
In the comments on my comic from yesterday, starring General Twobabies, Mark said, “In case you’re confused, http://www.lefthandedtoons.com/603/” Clicking over to the old comic revealed the first appearance of General Twobabies.
But here’s the thing: I completely forgot that I’ve used General Twobabies before. My idea sheet had an uncrossed-off “General Twobabies” on it, right below “Anal-Retentive Dragons” and right above “Cheesecoat” (both of which are also not crossed off (and likely won’t ever be unless I can remember why those things were funny to me)).
So, apparently, I envisioned General Twobabies more than a year ago, completely forgot, and then re-envisioned him almost exactly the same. I’m just glad the two comics don’t conflict or repeat the joke.
We really have made a lot of comics! Thank you, diligent reader Mark, for having a more encyclopedic memory of my toons than myself.

Link to the old comic is broken!
Whoops thanks! Should be fixed now. Stupid wordpress.
Some things just shouldn't be crossed off
could "Cheesecoat" be in any way related to Nikolai Gogol's comedy(ish) The Overcoat? – where some poor old person who hand copies documents has an old worn overcoat he tries to get repaired – but it was in such bad shape, there was no hope. A new overcoat is made – and things get more comedicaly tragic from there.
I have a great idea for LHT! I often lose the comics I really like, and I have far too many bookmarks for that to be useful, so I would love if you had some sort of "favoriting" system that you could store all your favorite comics to show others.
I also have a file with a bunch of scribbled down comic ideas. I know the feeling of looking back at an idea of something that you once thought was hilarious and doesn't make any sense anymore. I have 89 MS word pages of that garbage now.
for example I have "Teletubbies of sex" "popcorn mathematical function"
..?
I don't care if General Twobabies has appeared more than once, the very concept makes me laugh every time.
Speaking of comments, though, is anyone else having trouble reading the comments on LHT strips lately? I used to be able to read them, but now it just says "Comments loading" no matter how long I wait.
Thanks for the heads-up with the comments on the comics. I just fixed it. Sorry about that!
that is pretty epic. You know it's a good idea when you come up with it more than once
